College

Is there an age or year of your life you would re-live?

College was a thrill for me. I was free of my tyrannical father. I owed him nothing. I was working my way through and got just enough loans for tuition and books. L. Unlike today, there were no students predatory loans. Contrary to what you’d expect, I carried maximum loads every term and graduated with a 3.8 GPA in three years. I didn’t party or play. I had no intention of ever becoming ng dependent on anyone again. It’s interesting how situations motivate people differently. I have wed $1500 in student loans upon graduation. That was not a burden.

  1. Hi Beth,

I so admire your independent spirit and responsible work-ethic. Glad you used your college years in such a meaningful manner. Happy Friday!

*As usual, please give your furry rescue “Izzy” a hug & a few pats from me. Thank you & yours for opening your warm, caring and safe home to him. It’s just something special about you and others in the nursing profession.

    • Thanks. We are the lucky ones. He is so adorable. We were wondering yesterday what little guy is making its way toward us. Our mastiff is ten years old, long past his “best used by date. He was getting too fat so I started cooking for him. He still gets 2 1/2 cups morning and eving. He’s lost weight and is getting frisky. The recipe 1/3 low fat meat, 1/3 brown rice, pumpkin, oatmeal or sweet potato, 1/3 green or yellow veggies or bean mix. I made a huge batch the other day and canned in pint and a half jars, enough for ten days. It smelled wonderful. I catch meat 🥩 on markdown.
