It is a bad idea for me to carry cash. If someone comes by raising money to treat nail fungus in chimeric tigers in Bangladesh, I’m in. Someone near and dear to me balances me out very well. When I was recently gathering up donation items for hurricane victims in Timbuktu to take to a drive at work, he came through and did a last minute rescue of everything he could possibly use, disposable razors, packets of new underwear, T-shirts, socks, soap, and deodorant, leaving a few items he had no real use for: hand lotion, multivitamins, and pantyliners. It takes all kinds.
Nice Linda. *shakes head*

My last loose bills in my wallet went to a guy at the end of the freeway ramp.

I am too sceptical of people to donate cash, I also like to have cash in my purse and to pay for stuff with cash

I’m confused. So, are you saying a friend went through the stuff you were donating and kept what he wanted? Did you give him permission to do that? That sounds really wrong to me. Like a friend I have who likes to go through my donations before I take them; in case she wants something.

My husband went through the stuff.

My first thought is that your near and dear friend isn’t very generous! Does he shop at Thrift Stores? He’d love them. I’m middle of the road. If it’s for the animals in Timbuktu, I’d dig in my pockets but for people I’m always suspicious.
