I like the drawings – and to think it’s from a lady in her golden years. By the way, does she know that you whooped her stick-woman effigy?

I think her drawing these illustrations would be a sign of ‘acceptance’ and willingness to share; not many parents would be willing to let their children talk about family history so openly!
I secretly look forward to the posts with illustrations, I always assume the story following will give me some belly laughs!

I read your comment to her today. She was delighted. There will be a new illustration tomorrow of where she was “whooping” a stick figure of her mama. Check it out in “Katie got married” She did it today at my request. Think it might be one of her best!
