Please don’t read if you are easily offended. This is nursing humor.
My husband I are both retired RNs so we frequently spot errors in commercials. The other evening, one of those frequent “Help, I’ve fallen and can’t get up!” commercials came on.
Bud watched the poor woman intently for a moment and said, “I know damn good and well she didn’t fall. She didn’t piss her pants.”
He knows whereof he speaks, having worked on a physical rehab floor for more than twenty years.

i worked my way through college as a ward aid at an institution for special needs adults, some of whom had the mentality of toddlers. I became a realist very soon, while still doing the very best I could to provide kind, concerned, consistent care to the residents.

I see lots of those kinds of errors in commercials all the time. It’s like what kind of idiots do they think we are? Granted those situations do occur, but they might be better off just stating the possibility or having someone who experienced it tell their story. Like my husbands grandmother fell, broke her hip and being a deaf mute, could not call out and was alone for three days! Now that would bear telling.
