I think my youngest sister once had the worst Monday ever. She’d spent the night with me. When she was getting ready to go to work, she realized she’d forgotten her slip and absolutely had to have one since her dress was sheer. I dug mine out and we pinned it up for her. I made her a nice lunch. As she went out the front door in the rain, she realized she’d left her lunch behind. She whirled to come back in, tearing her stockings on the screen. After, I found her another pair, she grabbed her lunch and headed out again, late by now, hanging her heel on the threshold, breaking it off. Of course, she fell down the steps, hitting her head, skinning her knees, tearing her dress, and destroying a second pair of stockings. She just came back in crying, called in to work, and spent the rest of the day in bed nursing a headache.
I thought that was really cute how your son was holding the baby’s bottle. I bet he thought he was really helping. That was a terrible Monday. You must have really been glad to see your husband come back. My two were a little closer in age. Our son was active and used to chatter also. By comparison, our daughter seemed so quiet and easy going. Now it’s the opposite. Great memories, Linda. :D — Suzanne

Oh how unfortunate! It so happens sometimes, when everything starts going wrong in a chain reaction. In my community we tend to blame it on a particular Demi God, who is also the planet Saturn and its negative influences ! Although I think it’s rather a nervous thingy…

My mother did have a relative who was to be tried in the Salem Witch trials, but her husband slipped her out of town, true! Not sure if Bud would have done the same!

Terrible. I once fell downstairs when I was going to university, ripped my skirt and had to go back home, bruised knee, etc. Managed to get to university only to discover students had gone on strike and no classes that day.

Thank you. Such stories remind me that I’m not alone in experiencing days like that. Somehow, and perhaps sadly, I take comfort in that knowledge.
