I thought people checked for the light to change first before stepping of the pedestrian crossing? That’s crazy to hop on if cars are zooming by. I have had an awful experience where the pedestrian light was on, we were crossing from the park and this crazy human kept barreling down the road! I think the onus of care is on both sides.
