After studying Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther KIng, Jr, my little grandson came home pondering their stories. He told his mother. “I want to do great things and help people, but I don’t want to get killed.” What a thing for a child to have to think!

Remember the song by Dion, Abraham, Martin and John? Or consider U2, “In the Name of Love.” One cannot get anything much done on this side of the fear of death. We just say, “they can’t kill us all” and press on. One man on a barbed wire fence, no one even knows his name. So what?
