Omg, I got nauseous reading these! I’d bet a lot of women didn’t like these ads then any more than they do now, but were loath to say anything. The sexism and spousal abuse is reprehensible. Arrg, barf, gag me with a spoon 😳

It is 7.10 am and I was determined to work on my lecture and what have I done? I’ve read through this collection of adverts with my mouth hanging open. Yet these images were around in my own youth! They are astounding. Perhaps we have made some progress and perhaps the disgruntlement of the great white male is more understandable when you see the pinnacle from which he has been pushed!

I hate these ads. Horrid!! And the thought of using Lysol as a douche? OMG! I’ll bet if Trump had his way, these would be brought back😂😳😱
