I’ve been spending a few days with my kids in New Jersey. I made this Raggedy Ann doll for my three-year-old granddaughter, Leda. I don’t think she was impressed, at all. She’s hooked on Superheroes. I guess I should have made it a cape.

I am grateful to my home economics teacher. My senior year, we had to make lined tailored suits with set in sleeves, welt pockets, and bound buttonholes. After that, I wasn’t afraid to take on anything. Sewing is a wonderful skill.

Mine too, had both Annie and Andy tried to pass on to my great-niece, no interest… star wars she’s into!!! BB-8 was her on list… lol

There will be a time, sooner or later, when that doll will mean the world to her. It will get dirty and stained and it will still be on her bed or in its own chair. It will probably go to college with her!

Yeah, I get that. It’s good for her to know what girls used to get and like, even if she won’t remember. Or, maybe she will. OMG, I was just thinking, maybe she’ll be the one telling those grandma “memory” tales from her past one day… shared with the same wit and humor as yours perhaps? Who knows? Too bad I won’t live that long.
