Raggedy Ann, the Orphan Doll

I’ve been spending a few days with my kids in New Jersey.  I made this Raggedy Ann doll for my three-year-old granddaughter, Leda.  I don’t think she was impressed, at all.  She’s hooked on Superheroes.  I guess I should have made it a cape.

    • I am grateful to my home economics teacher. My senior year, we had to make lined tailored suits with set in sleeves, welt pockets, and bound buttonholes. After that, I wasn’t afraid to take on anything. Sewing is a wonderful skill.

  1. There will be a time, sooner or later, when that doll will mean the world to her. It will get dirty and stained and it will still be on her bed or in its own chair. It will probably go to college with her!
