  1. I agree!! It is a scary fact. . .and late in the game, but education has changed dramatically. History can change the way you think your character even! I can not even begin this conversation about our broken system-I have said it over and over. If I dwell on it, . .I will cry.

  2. A few years ago, there was a nationwide survey of college freshmen knowledge of history and geography. Some of them never heard of Hitler, and some of them thought that he was a drug lord from South America. WWII happened either in Middle Ages or in Ancient Rome. One young man wondered why air fare to Rome doesn’t specify Ancient. You are talking about the Holocaust when they don’t want to know Beatles! It’s all Ancient Rome to them, and there are no flights offered.
