Both cats and dogs are a delight. Sometimes, I’ve had both. My pets have always been friends. At one time I had a dog, cat, and rat who played happily together. They’d all sleep in a happy pile. Right now, I only have dogs. I’ve thought of getting a cat but I feed the birds. If I got a cat and allowed it outside, I’d be luring them to their death.

We’ve known and loved so many cats, dogs, birds, and one sweet rat.

We currently have 4 cats … all rescues. At one time we had as many as 10! We’ve also had dogs, fish, hamsters, mice … you name it. I love all critters and welcome them all … if we can provide them with food, safety, and love, then our lives are fuller.

I love animals. They give you so much and love their home. Once I take them in, they get care and love for life.

Me too, my friend! And you can tell them anything and your deepest secrets are safe with them! We are the same … I don’t think we’ve ever turned away a stray who needed a home. They give every bit as much love as we give them … nothing like a purring cat in your lap to help you believe there’s hope for the world yet!

We have never turned a friend away. Last night I dreamed I found a Dalmatian pup in the yard. When I told Bud, he said, “I hope you knocked it in the head. In truth, he’d be the first to cuddle and wrap it in a blanket. He just likes to sound grumpy. Such a wasted effort.

Ha ha … I completely understand Bud! I’m much the same. I grumble about my girls adopting every stray they see, but in truth I love them all so much!

I love cats,….but prefer dogs as pets!! I’ve had both, like you. Right now it’s just little Ms. Finn and I!! ❣️🐾

At one time we had 4 rats, named for the females in Big Bang Theory. They loved running up and down sleeves and enjoyed being carried around in dressing gown pockets.they were bright and clever friends. A joy. Hugs
