What brings you peace?
The quiet of the early morning brings me peace. I am alone with my thoughts. I empty my mind and allow good things to flow: memories, thoughts of family and friends, lovely places I’ve seen. This is a vital time for which I am very grateful.
I get up early as I like the stillness and peace of the early morning

since I rarely sleep for more than 4 hours at night, that is the time to revisit special joyous times from my memory. The quiet enfolds me and gives comfort until the birds wake and remind me that there are emails waiting online to occupy my attention.

I never mind when the birds wake me. That’s just so right.

Late sleepers think the same thing about us early risers never getting in on the soulful conversations of 1 AM…
Darlin’, I’m typing this in ordinary whole lines ~ why is it coming out broken up like poetry? (Doo DOO doo DOO, doo DOO doo doo…) 🤔🤭

Wonderful picture and wonderful sentiment. Every day I learn a little more about peace. I love early morning too.

Watching nature and her everchanging tapestry is where my body is at peace. The warm glow of autumn sunlight, the chattering of house martins and the calls of blackbirds, wrens and robins. I drink nature’s delights as though a cup of hot chocolate on a storm ridden night. We need to seek out stillness in this chaotic world of ours.
