What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?
I looked up Virginia Williams, an old time Fiddling Champion. She was a delightful lady. I loved her conversation and music. Sadly, this lovely lady died in 2023 of ALS.

Oh gosh, I shouldn’t of laughed, but “check the mail!” What a wonderful thing to have passed believing in the power of winning! She was a winner in a much bigger picture though. She had her family.

God bless you always for the love and support you showed her. What a selfless act of love, unconditional love that the world needs more of. Hugs to you my friend.

We felt so bad for her. It was pitiful. Until the last she thought she was going to win the Publisher’s Clearinghouse sweepstakes. The last thing she said was , “Check the mail.”

ALS is terrible. My MIL had ALS and Alzheimer’s . It was awful. She couldn’t remember she couldn’t stand. It was impossible to keep her safe. She constantly tried to arise from her wheelchair. We had to be right on the spot all the time. The only way she was safe was in a recliner. She wouldn’t get in a bed.

I just can’t imagine watching a loved one go through that and the toll it takes on the caretakers. My heart hurts knowing so many people suffer in the depths of such horrible diseases.
I have a dear friend who has progressive MS and he’s alone. I wish he lived closer, but he’s 8 hours away. Makes me so sad thinking about his going through this disease alone. I worry all the time he’ll fall and not be able to call for help.

I hope he uses one of those alert buttons.

I hope so too. He’s only 56 and in a chair. Thank goodness he’s had his home modified for his disability, but I still worry about him.
He was a special love of mine, now he’s my dear friend. He broke our love apart because of the MS.
