What’s your favorite month of the year? Why?
I love October with its cool blue skies and cooling weather, such a relief from the blistering summer heat. The leaves are turning. The breezy days stir excitement. I feel so much anticipation for life.
Best of all, there is always that first day when the sky is heartbreaking blue, the promise of a new season.

My most favorite would have to be April since it’s not too hot yet, but warmer than winter. It’s a great time to go hiking!

So sorry, but I’ m confused by your response as I just reactivated my WordPress account from 2017? Either I am responding in error to another account or will review the few blog posts I made way back then, your interest is most appreciated.❤️✨

I like either September or June? September is the start of school which is usually exciting, also a fine mix of summer and autumn. June cause SCHOOL IS OUT and I can go to the beeeeeaaaachhhh and drive my parents crazy. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Well described. Did you see my story about Fall, ‘There Was A Time’? I love Fall but I’m partial to May, having completed 78 of them so far. May is an excellent time to catch striped bass and blue fish in the waters off Cape Cod.

The cold must be something to dread in the North.

The older I get, the more I dread it. But then a cold January day in the 20s or 30s can feel marvelous if the sun shines. The problem here along the Lake Ontario shore, is that the darn lake influences our weather a lot including too many cloudy days during the winter months, August thru June. Well, it seems that long, at times 🥴😁

I’ve never dealt with bitter cold. I might not handle it well.

Oh? It’s easy. Just put on 10 heavy coats and long Johns. You won’t be able to move which is good because it’ll keep you inside. Big snows in these parts this weekend. Might already be snowing in Buffalo area. It’s those darn lakes, Erie and Ontario that cause our problem. It’s called ‘lake effect’ snow. Some areas at the end of Ontario may get up to 4 feet. Better them than us😂

Boy would that be a shock to a Louisianian! I have a niece who just moved from Buffalo to Houston.

I never thought of a favorite month before, although I must agree with you about October. My favorite time of year is Autumn … but I’ve always fallen in love in Spring.

I grew up on a farm. The work was never-ending and backbreaking. The chores slowed down after the hay was in,f nces repaired, and harvest in. We were isolated. Our nearest neighbor was a mile away. Our only day off was Sunday. Daddy was glad for us to invite kids over. He’d put them to work, too. Nobody was that dumb but once. I was so glad when the heavy work of the year was over.

We had a large garden at Grandma’s. I thought that was a lot of work. I can’t imagine growing up on a farm and the amount of work that must be accomplished daily. When there are animals involved or a harvest to bring in, you can’t call off sick.
