Do you trust your instincts?
Yes. If I get the feeling I should or shouldn’t do something, I pay attention. We have instincts for a reason. I think instincts contribute to survival. Animals don’t seem to question their instincts.

I had a red fox denned up in the trees near my house. One time she came up and looked in my garden room door at us. The dogs were mesmerized and never barked. She raised a couple of litters. I loved seeing them.

Too often we push them aside and remind us to “think reasonable”… what a mistake.

Yes I do if my gut says something isn’t right then it isn’t when we were much younger Tim didn’t trust his gut now he does, I told him that I thought of it as God’s way of letting me know something wasn’t right

Yes, I have had my initial instincts about people and situations so often proved true. The times I have disregarded that first instinct I often regret it.

I sure do believe in paying attention to that feeling I get, which is I suppose my instinct. It’s happened a few times, and I’m glad I did. :)

I just had a moment like this this morning at 3 A.M. as I was walking the dogs. My youngest dog started stopping in midwalk and sniffing the air and then loooking around and then back at me. It gave me chills, so I wrapped up my elderly pup put her back in her carrying tote and went right back inside

Dogs have such a fantastic sense of smell. It’s for sure that the dog smelled something, often times it’s a deer where I live.
Isn’t there a saying that ‘i should have followed my first instinct’ when it comes to choosing something? Maybe that just guessing, not instinct, but I’m sure I’ve heard the saying.

We had a cat that was terrified of deer. Ithink he may have crossed paths with one.

For sure. My great concern around here is with the coyotes that are beginning to form up in packs around MA. Residents of our town have spotted a pack of about 10 along the outskirts of town.
