Beach or mountains? Which do you prefer? Why?
I love both. Happily for me, I am at the beach as I write. It is a bright, sunny morning with the water sparkling from the sun. It is so calming. I was fortunate enough to have a weekend in a mountain cabin high above Sylamore Creek in Arkansas a few weeks ago. It was also beautiful. I think the best is whichever I am enjoying at the moment. I wonder if a visit where the mountains touch the sea would be too joyous to bear?

most beautiful place.

I also love both, especially when it’s a wild coast. My mountain-climbing and skiing days are over, but there are still cable cars here and some less strenuous hikes I can do once I’m up there.

Oh I love this. I’m like you, I love both the mountains and the beaches and I agree, it might just be too joyous to bear both mountain that touches the sea.

Great post. The closest I’ve seen to mountains touching the beach is CA 😎

I would have to say the beach, I always connect cold with mountains and I don’t like cold weather

It’s just like you, Beth, to enjoy and appreciate Nature in all its splendor, whether at a beautiful beach or atop a majestic mountain breathing fresh air and listening to the sounds of nature all around you.
Happy Friday! and here’s wishing you & yours a wonderful weekend too. Please give your adorable furry rescue “Izzy” a hug and a few pats from me.

Oh poor Izzy. We are at beach on Gulf and he is home with a dog sitter. He will be so happy when we get him me. He couldn’t come because we are sharing a cabin with my son who brought two Akita’s. He is terrified of them!

Try Norway. It’s dramatic.

I would definitely love that. The mountains and fiords are majestic. Can you imagine the impact flat prairies and that sea of grass after struggling minute plots of land in Norway.

A great idea to combine the too! I live in the mountains, so I enjoy the sea a lot but treasure the place I live.
