Boring

What bores you?

I am rarely bored. At home, I have my reading, writing l, crochet, sewing, gardening, and dogs to occupy me. If I have to wait for an appointment, I thoroughly enjoy people watching. I am easily occupied.

My mother taught me a very valuable lesson about boring when I complained of boredom as a kid. She loaded me with enough chores I never complained of being bored again. Valuable lesson!

The most boring thing to me is family reunions. You are happy to see everyone but they go off into their own cliches and only nod or give a short hi, let’s mingle family it has been a year since we saw each other.

  2. When I was younger we had a saying: “If you are bored, you are boring.” I sure have had an opportunity to reach boredom, sitting here for years in a minivan (on a video/audio fast, too, so no entertainment there), but haven’t even brushed up against the condition.

I think tech has made people forget how to be bored. It’s so easy to distract yourself now when you become bored, but boredomness is necessary for your imagination to thrive!

  4. I love living a simple life after the stress of working many high-powered jobs. My ego was so bad, designer this and that, drinking too much, not taking time out for family, I wasn’t living my best life. Now the chains are off, they have been since 2005.
