A crochet needle is actually a tiny gypsy loom. You can make pieces of cloth bigger than those any household loom can make with just one of these tiny hooked bars. Among the survival supplies in my minivan home are a selection of them.

Well, you crochet ~ think about it. Dimensions of the final product are limited neither by needle (knitting) nor by loom length (weaving), but on your original strand of chain stitches, and on the number of rows you build on that strand. You could make a blanket as big as the Empire State Building without sewing a single seam.

It’s all amazing, but my favorites are the baskets.

Really? Now I would have thought those took longer. See, I have no clue when it comes to crocheting. Beautiful work my friend

What an amazing art form and skill set. Two thumbs up.
Many moons ago, when I was a case-manager for homeless individuals and families, there was a local church program that created mittens, scarfs, etc. for me to distribute to the homeless, especially during harsh winter conditions…talk about using one’s gifts/talent for the greater good. Yay!

I’ve made many hats, scarves and sweaters. There’s always a need. People also need socks desperately.

I love to crochet! I started doing it as a tool to overcome stress and depression. I am mostly doing dolls and animals. It is so satisfying to look at my final projects. 😁

All are great creations. I have not been able to learn to crochet or knit despite my efforts since I was a teen. My next effort is hand knitting, it looks easy enough. We’ll see.
