Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
Without a computer there wouldn’t be WordPress, so I wouldn’t be writing. I wouldn’t look things up on Google. I’d be going to the library for books. I’d have an old-fashioned phone. Of course, I wouldn’t order my groceries on line. It would be my old life.
Scary!

I have enjoyed relatively short periods without a computer, phone, etc. and I loved it. The one thing I would miss is WordPress….and because I have been posting images on it since it started up, Facebook.
I could live without it……as long as I have books, art supplies, and BBC Radio 4 plus a little TV,

I never went down the road of an iphone, my phone is a nokia which just makes/takes calls and makes/takes texts.. my laptop is used for email and reading the papers mainly. I do order my weekly shop online and anything out of the ordinary online too, but I shut down my laptop every day at lunchtime and that’s it, I’m offline for the remainder of the day :) I call it web dipping!

I like many have grown up and lived without computers and I prefer having them in my life as life is a tad more interesting with them

For me ,no computer would mean almost total isolation since it serves as my contact with the World. I grant you the World may benefit from the absence of my wit, wisdom and shared music, but I would be bereft without the close contacts I’ve made online. Also it’s possible a few firms would go out of business without my custom and various relatives would miss their occasional ‘cos’ (cos i love you) gifts. I might starve without my food deliveries and be starved of human contact and interaction. The computer has proved to be a boon to me despite my maoning at the 300 + emails a day on occasion. Huge Hugs Linda.
