Awe, thank you. I know I sure do. I’m going to visit her on Thursday this week. She’s being moved into an assisted living place about 10 miles from me. I know it’s selfish to be excited she’s moving out towards me because she truly did want to pass in her home that’s she’s lived in for the last 63 years, but after her heart attack a few weeks back, the doctors said she can no longer live alone. Her daughter and I live near each other, thus the move out by us. I can’t wait to spend some quality time with her every week writing her stories and journey.
You know one little secret, she worked for many aircraft companies and she’s the one that developed something called the cherry on the B-52.
No college degree. Everything she did in life was self taught.
She’s my hero

No wonder. My mother recently moved to an independent living facility. She dreaded it but now wishes she’d gone sooner. She has a sunny patio, friends, absolutely no responsibilities, and dozens of friends. Shes gained four pounds from eating in the dining room.

Oh that’s awesome. I reached out to Aunt Billie this morning and she said she had just sat down in the dining room to eat. She called me back but I missed her call, so I called back and my cousin, her daughter said they had just arrived at an art class. Super excited she’s busy. I can’t wait to visit her and see her new place. I hope she finds as much happiness in her assisted living as your mom has in hers. I think it’s a pretty cool thing that older folks can live together yet independent and enjoy like things.
I’m glad your mom is eating well too. Good for her. I hope she’s on occasion eating her dessert first. hugs to you and to your mama.

I took Mother To Walmart today but I had to put her things up so she could go straight to dinner with her buds. She’s gained 4 pounds in 6 weeks.

Oh wow. She sounds like a super busy and amazing lady. I’m glad she’s going to dinner with her new found friends. 4 pounds in 6 weeks. I suppose that’s a sign she’s happy cause she’s eating.

She has milk every morning, too. She’s never done that. When I was a kid she saved milk for the kids.
